Circus and Laughter Culture in America
Circus Culture and Clowning in North and South AmericaAmerica is a continent where the circus stopped being just a European pastime and became something more. Emmett Kelly, the famous \"Sad Clown,\" became the symbol of this era. His character, Vivita, was a homeless person who retained human dignity.
