The history of the discovery of soluble coffee
Instant Coffee: Magic in a Can, Changing the Rhythm of HumanityIt is present in every kitchen, office, and traveler's backpack. It requires no coffee grinder, pot, or barista. Housewives appreciated the ability to avoid dealing with coffee grounds, while travelers valued the ease of storage. But the real star hour came during World War I: American soldiers received rations with instant coffee, and the drink became a symbol of endurance and home warmth on the front lines. Thus, a giant was born, destined to conquer the world. How Instant Coffee Is Made: The Magic of DryingThe production technology has come a long way from simple evaporation to high-tech methods. Today, there are two main methods: spray drying and sublimation drying. In the first case, liquid coffee extract is sprayed into a hot chamber where the droplets insta ... Read more
