Industry as a virtue
Worker and Protestant Ethics: Two Roots of One Tree At first glance, the Russian \"worker\" — a person who toils from dawn to dusk without complaining or demanding rewards — and Protestant work ethics, which took shape in Europe during the 16th to 17th centuries, seem to be phenomena from different worlds.
